MetaQuotes, the company behind your Meta Trader 4 (MT4) trading platform have recently announced details of a forth coming release of the client terminal.

This update will be automatically rolled out to most clients during the week commencing 03 February 2014.

The biggest change included in this release which may affect your trading activity is the change to where your MQL4 files (EA’s and Indicators etc…) are stored.

In previous builds of MT4 (509 and older), all MQL4 applications were stored in the following subdirectories of \experts\ root directory. In the new version, the file structure for storing the source code has changed. Now, all MQL4 applications should be located in the appropriate folders of \MQL4\ directory.

During the automatic update files will be copied to this new location.

For more information on this and the other features of the latest build, please visit the MQL4.com website (http://forum.mql4.com/60075). If you trade with scripts, or EAs, or Indicators, please be aware of this, and ensure everything is working ok!

Best of Luck,
